THANK YOU! Marley is now
at Best Friends' Sanctuary. He resides in the facility's
Lobby where he enjoys a lot of human contacts with visitors,
volunteers and caregivers.
Marley is now totally off any
medications and for adoption.
Thank you for your contributions,
they saved this little kitty's life!
Marley is a 3 month old kitten who
was brought to SpayNation for his neuter. When he tested
positive for feline leukemia, nobody had the heart to
euthanize this super friendly kitten.
After a long time of hoping and
wishing, he got accepted at Best
Friends Animal Sanctuary in
Kanab,UT. They do have a very, very long waiting list but he
is on top of the list. However, as soon as they have an
opening we have only 6 weeks to get him there.
We need the funding to transport
Marley and one human, for a rental car from Las Vegas to
Kanab and for accommodation in Kanab. Donations of frequent
flyer miles would also help!
Until then, Marley is lonely and
craves attention. We're looking for somebody who can foster
him until he can go to the sanctuary. This can be a few
weeks or even months. The family that is willing to help
should either have no other cats or a cat that also is FeLV
positive. Please contact Barbara if you would like to foster

There is a mother cat who has had two litters thus far
under my house. There are 3 6 month old cats from her first
litter and three 4 week old kittens under the house now. I
would like to have all of them neutered and spayed. I know
the 4 week old kittens are not ready yet for spay or neuter.
I am actively looking for homes for them, but want them
spayed and neutered first.
I have 8 indoor cats of my own that need rabies shots but
I need to get the outside strays taken care of first.
All the cats, dogs and kittens I have with me (in my
home)were either strays, abandonment or neglect/abuse cases.
I'm trying to find permanent homes for all but my personal
pets (who are already neutered) but as I require an adoption
application, home check and that the animals be "inside
four-legged family members" rather than outside pets, most
people around here are not interested so I refer them to
animal control where they can adopt without my stipulations
and save an animal from euthanasia.
I've been rescuing and placing spayed/neutered animals in
quality permanent homes for 40 years. I became partially
disabled a few years ago which interferes with my being able
to work as much as I did in the past (I have a Tutoring
Service and a Pet-Sitting Service). With the decrease in my
income, I've been soliciting donations from friends and
acquaintances for spay/neutering, vaccine and flea
prevention costs. At the present time, all my donors are
tapped out and this past kitten season hit me hard when
several people dumped pregnant cats at my home.

If we do not get our pets fixed we may end up with
litters that we can not find homes for. It is unfair to the

My daughter and I found a stray dog earlier this summer.
I have a 1 year old daughter and am a single mom. We took
her in not knowing she was pregnant. After she had her
litter, I found homes for the mom and two of the puppies. I
decided to keep one of the puppies, but don't really know
that I can afford him. A friend recommended SpayNation to
me.
I am a single mom who works and goes to school. My
daughter deserves a healthy puppy as a pet. Without this

the dog.
A donation made to

Junie is our curious little kitten who we adopted from an
elderly woman who lived in Butte La Rose whose house was
being threatened with flooding. We received Junie when she
was 5 weeks old, and she had never received any veterinary
care. When we were preparing for her first visit we found
out that she had worms and the treatment cost over $100. We
have been trying to find the money to get her fixed, shots,
rabies vaccinated, and treated for fleas. She is the
prettiest kitty around and we just want to get her healthy
and happy to get a good start on the years of fun that we
will have with her. Unfortunately, we are both students and
our finances havent fallen into place lately. Any help would
be great for us and for Junie Cat,
We make sure that our animals are properly taken care of,
but the cost of getting Junie shots, fixed, and treated for
fleas is something that we have been struggling to find
money for. She was taken to the vet when she had worms, but
the visit was extremely expensive so I was unable to afford
her kitten shots. She really needs to get her shots, so I'm
trying to get all of that so she can enjoy a happy, long
life with us.

Our little dog Sophie is a Chiuaua/Shih Tzu mix. She is

will not be able to birth the puppies because they will be
too big and we do not want her to be hurt or die.

Words:
Olive is a 6 month old black lab/blue heeler mix. When I
first went to the animal shelter I had no intention of
getting a dog (I was going to help a friend pick out an
older dog to foster), but then I saw her, only a month old
with a massive abscess on her head (she could barely hold it
up), covered in ant bites and fleas still crawling all over
her. She would only take a few steps before laying down
again, and we knew she would soon be put down if we didn't
take her. When we got home we noticed the bump on her head
was bleeding, and she wasn't really responding to us. We
immediately took her to the vet, where this free puppy
quickly became a 200 dollar puppy.
Not long after that that, she had ring worm, then kennel
cough and a hernia, on top of all of her vaccinations, which
left me barely scraping by. But all of it was definitely
worth it. She's now about 6 months old and healthy as can
be. The only thing I have to worry about now is getting her
fixed, and since I've back at school this semester, money
has yet again become an issue. I've been putting off getting
Olive fixed, but now that she's 6 months it needs to get
done, especially since my roommate has a male dog who isn't
fixed and is too old to get the surgery.
I'm a college student living on my own trying to cover
books and school supplies, a car note, rent and groceries
all on a small waitress salary. I'm also trying to pay off
medical bills from a car accident that I got in two and a
half years ago. Olive is of course a priority, but with
money being so tight any assistance at all would be so
greatly appreciated!

There are five neighborhood cats who come and go.
Sometimes they hang around for a few days at a time. They
are friendly for the most part, but they run away when we
get close to them. We are concerned about uncontrolled
litters. Three are female, and two are male. I am disabled,
and my husband was laid off five months ago. We love
animals, and we would like to prevent the likelihood of more
homeless cats.
Two of the cats have had several litters. One delivered
in our yard a few months ago and abandoned them. We were
able to save two of the newborn kittens for two days but
were ultimately unsuccessful. Those were the two hardest

We have been "fostering" these 4 cats for about 6 months
now and I really need to spay the females soon so that they
do not have a litter of kittens. I would love to set up a
trap and release project in the future since there are
atleast 10 feral cats around my home. One of the males is
extremely territorial which resulted in me taking in the one
male that I need neutered.
Iam a nursing student,single mom, and I work full-time. I
would also love any info on rescue organizations that can
help me place these kitten in new homes.I already have 2

In Their Own Words:
My daughter's babysitter daughter was driving home &
found a stray puppy wandering around a major street. So she
drove around the neighborhood near there asking people if
they lost a dog. No one claimed her. So they called me. I
had been suffering from extreme fatigue. I had went to
several doctors & had several test done. None of them
conclusive. But I digress. I told them that I would have to
see her. So they brought her to my trailer. She's a black in
grey schnauzer mix with big brown eyes. She's smart &
self determined & reminds me of my four year old
daughter with her spirit & temperament. She's
independent & loyal to a fault. She greets me after a
long day & comforts me at night. In fact as I type this
she is laying at my feet. She makes me feel better &
helps with my stress. Most of all she loves my children.
Shell bark if someone charges me or my daughter. She enjoys
girl time & even pets me sometime. My daughter is as
tenacious and rambunctious as the day is long. She can
sometimes play rough with my dog SoPhee as we call her &
she never bites, snaps, or even barks at her. In fact the
only time she barks is if she wants to roam free & I
want to protect her. I want to fix her because she is the
only female dog in the neighborhood & the other dogs are
huge & try to run her over to get to her because she is
coming into heat. She's a little thing & a very special
parr of this family & I'm worried that her getting
pregnant will hurt or kill her. I am afraid of that because
she means so much to my kids but she is my heart.
This dog or my baby is so very special to me. I was
scared that what ever was ailing me would inevitably take me
from my children & it vanished the day I got her. I am
afraid that i will lose her & I know she was my blessing
from god. So I ask if the funds are available you please
help. I make sure my children are at there best I will do
anything to ensure that she is okay even give her up which I
know it would kill me to do.
SoPhee will be
spayed

pay.
The cat was found under the hood of a car at CVS while I

age that will begin wandering the neighborhood and we don't

husband is stationed on last August.
There are 3 cats that live outside that "adopted us" but

kittens, It is becoming a battle of expenses to support
these cats and their kittens.
There are also 4 other cats that live under my husband's
