SpayNation for Dogs & Cats is an initiative spearheaded by Wild Cat Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Lafayette, LA.
Started in 2002 as a small but very effective TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) group for spaying feral and stray cats, Wild Cat Foundation has worked tirelessly since then by supporting and providing kind, positive solutions to help humanely control Acadiana's feral cat overpopulation problem. Since its beginning, Wild Cat Foundation has helped spay/neuter over 8,000 cats in the Acadiana area.
Comprised solely of volunteers, the group also facilitates adoptions of friendly cats and dogs. In 2009, over 120 homeless dogs and cats found new, loving homes through Wild Cat Foundation.
A dream and goal of Wild Cat Foundation for many years, SpayNation for Dogs & Cats is a low cost, high quality spay/neuter clinic providing sterilization services to the cats and dogs of Acadiana and beyond. We do what we do because we believe that aggressive spay/neuter is the most efficient, humane and effective method of reducing the homeless and unwanted pet population, which drastically reduces the number of dogs and cats entering shelters and animal control facilities every day. We are working for and towards a community without homeless pets, where all residents have access to high quality, low cost spay/neuter.
